Public speaking
Are you looking for an inspirational person to share their story of finding resilience in the dark or to present on tricky topics such as grief, death and end of life?
As a successful, independent business woman, Emma has drawn inspiration from her difficult and, at times, lonely experience of being a widow and a solo-parent to two young children and she can talk about:
- Processing grief, why there are no stages & how to help someone who is bereaved
- Why preparing for death & having tricky conversations is vital for peace of mind
- Factors professionals need to take into account when dealing with potentially vulnerable bereaved clients
- End of life administration: the emotional and practical considerations as well as the financial & legal aspects
Emma’s determination, spirit and compassion cannot fail to inspire an audience and she empowers people to follow in her footsteps and look for the positives in life and her presentations have been described as:
“gripping, educational and emotional”
“sincere and helpful”

About Emma…
Emma was a happily married mother of two young girls with a successful career as a solicitor, but her life was turned upside down when her husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Living as a widow since 2016, Emma has learnt the hard way how to be a “good enough” parent of two young girls whilst dealing with the challenges her new life throws at her. Emma’s personal experiences coupled with her practical knowledge as a non-practicing solicitor and a trainee counsellor make her an ideal person to talk about being prepared for the worst and preparing the legacy that we leave behind.
Emma is passionate about encouraging people to face up to tricky conversations and the fact that none of us know what the future might bring.
